If you want to know why it is so warm, familiar and amazing, look no further than Michael Jackson's equally timeless "Rock With You", which was produced by Quincy Jones and is where this track gets it's DNA... MJ's (Rod Temperton's) lyrics were "I wanna rock with you, all night" and M2S's lyrics are "I'm dying to rock with you all night long" That's not all. Go listen to the E.P. version of Rock With You. Mostly everything is perfect: harmonies, mix, beat, groove, arrangement, intro, sound, bassline etc. Simply one of the most amazing tracks you will ever come across. But the whole EP is gorgeous. A true masterpiece.

All Night Long Is the track I think that has made Mood II Swing to be looked upon as legends in their music era... the song that sums up the duo's music career, they are other tunes that come close like 'Sunlight In My Eyes' and 'Do It Your Way'. There's endless memories that flash past my brain while I listen to it, accompanied by mixed emotions, thoughts for the future, shivers at the back of my neck and a question: how was this tune produced ? It can satisfy a need of love, comfort for pain and being hurt or acceptance for disappointments. As much as time and therapy are healing factors, this track does the same... if not more efficiently. Play this song when you are alone or when you are having one of those moments, it will do wonders. Simply sublime, not many tracks have reached the sort of status as this did.

I associate it with dropping it at a late night house party back in 2003 when I played for most of the night until about 5 am, with recall some "civilian" non house person just really getting down to it. This is one of those cuts that really taps into that yearning aspect of house that just sticks with you. It think its also something almost haunting with the synth lines used. M II S did some amazing stuff, especially Ciafone. Been re-reviewing Ciafone's trackier stuff recently which still kills it IMO.

Both songs are complete strokes of genius and who else than Lem Springsteen and John Ciafone could have come up with such a great idea. Kinda hard what Mood II Swing are doing these days. Wanna check out some N.Y classic house. This is the record to get. Sleazy "Do It your way" is the real treat of what beats has to do with anything. A perfect Example of what they did back in the "Best" days of Garage from the US.
