Notes

Info from the booklet:

This album consists of the studio acetates cut on 28th - 29th of August, 1985 at the Frankford/Wayne Mastering Labs in New York. Tracks 1-8 represent how the Twitch LP was originally intended to be.

"All Day" - Remixed version was added to the final album replacing "Isle Of Man Version I" on Side 1. On side two of the LP "Possession" was shortened and renamed "My Possession", and the 7 minute "Abortive" and "Twitch Part I" medley were also permanently removed - until now.

In addition a shorter 7" version of The Angel was mastered, but never used. 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9 are previously unreleased. Tracks 10-12 were used for the 12" release of Over The Shoulder.

Info

Twitch is the second studio album by American rock band Ministry, released on March 12, 1986 by Sire Records. Recorded mostly in London and West Berlin during 1985, it was produced by the band's frontman Al Jourgensen and On-U Sound Records owner Adrian Sherwood. It stepped away from the synthpop-oriented form of their debut studio album With Sympathy 1983 and moved toward a darker, more aggressive sound, heavily influenced by industrial dance groups Cabaret Voltaire and Front 242. "Twitched" is the original edit of the "Twitch" album. The sound quality is the same as the original album, which implies it was mastered from the original source. The importance of having this varies. There isn't any "real" surprises here. You get to hear the original versions of "Isle of Man" and "Twtich". While there are differences, they are not light and day different to the more common Version II's on the commercial release. "Abortive" is present but isn't much different from the version later released on "The Land of Rape and Honey". They included the "Over the Shoulder" Single, which is a bit redundant considering these tracks were also available on the commercial version. Also note, this release DOES NOT include "Where You At Now?" and "Crash And Burn". Essential to any enthusiasts, but not the average fan.
