Info
Ace's Father of West Coast R&B is an excellent 14 track collection of the tenor saxophonist's '50s and '60s records. There are several solo sides, plus cuts featuring him with Lloyd Glenn and Gene Phillips' orchestras. Since it features Maxwell Davis as both a leader and a sideman, the collection is a nice overview of his peak years.
