Matthew Bournes moogmemory plus is a companion EP to his 2016 moogmemory album, an ode to his friends, influences and synthesiser. Dave and Bob exhibit a playfulness only hinted at on the album, while Keighley is a beautiful Lynchian tribute to the Yorkshire countryside that plays a leading role in its accompanying video. Moogmemory, Bourne's second solo full-length for Leaf, originated in 2013 when the musician was commissioned to perform a set of solo synthesizer music at the Marsden Jazz Festival. Dubbed the Matthew Bourne Synthesizer Show as a nod to Annette Peacock and Paul Bley's Bley-Peacock Synthesizer Show, he improvised on several analog electronic instruments, including a faulty Memorymoog dating from 1982. Album 2016 8 Songs. Moogmemory Matthew Bourne. is the second solo studio album by English improvising pianist and synthesiser player Matthew Bourne. His first studio album, Montauk Variations, was a series of compositions for solo piano, but moogmemory sees Bourne performing only on the Lintronics Advanced Memorymoog, a specially altered Memorymoog synthesiser. The album was released on 4 March 2016 on The Leaf Label. Listen free to Matthew Bourne moogmemory Somewhere I Have Never Travelled For Coral Evans, Alex and more. 9 tracks 63:08.
