TFCF short for Theme From Crying Fountain is the eighth studio album by Liars, released on August 25, 2017, through Mute Records. Angus Andrew is the only original member of Liars to feature on the album, following the departures of Julian Gross and Aaron Hemphill in 2014 and 2017 respectively. Speaking of the process of recording the album, Angus said: A lot of the sounds I was working on were samples, they lived inside my computer, but I still wanted to have a connection with everything around me. Liars is the self-titled fourth studio album by the band Liars, released on August 28, 2007. The album was recorded at Planet Roc, Los Angeles and was produced by the band and Jeremy Glover. The album was preceded by a week by the single release of Plaster Casts of Everything. The single release of Plaster Casts was accompanied by a videoclip. Following the death of their creative relationship, the founding duo of Liars was reduced to a solo act. These sparse, atmospheric songs re-orient themselves constantly: The Grand Delusional begins as an eerie campfire song complete with the sounds of the bush, then a woozy drum pattern takes it in a completely different direction. Liars eighth album is their first without drummer Julian Gross in 13 years, and the first without guitarist Aaron Hemphill ever, leaving singer Angus Andrew the sole member. The fact that such a huge line-up change in the band has resulted in a record thats still recognisably a Liars LP is testament to how much influence Andrew had on their sound, or at very least, how closely he was paying attention.
