Notes
Original 1990 cassette release of Sister. Track A3 ("Pete Beat") is unlisted on the J-card tracklisting, but appears both in the lyrics sheet order and on the "This Side" cassette label. Lyrics for "Boy" are not provided.
Some song versions (mixes, and potentially instrument tracks and performers themselves) are different from the 1998 CD reissue. For example, the CD lists "I See", "Sister", and "Never Tell" as having been recorded at Fort Apache South, but the cassette lists HBS Production, Inc. as the primary recording studio for the entire cassette, with only "Never Tell" differing in this; it's listed as having been recorded at Fort Apache North. Greg McKenna is credited with "?" on the cassette (under the "LETTERS 2 CLEO R" listing), while on the CD he's credited with guitars and co-credited with songwriting on all tracks.

Info
Sister is a compilation album by the band Letters to Cleo. It was released on November 3, 1998. The album's last track is a cover of Fleetwood Mac's Dreams. Although it was the final Letters To Cleo album to be released through a major label, the material on the album pre-dates all their other work tracks 1-7 are originally from their demo tape, and tracks 8-10 are rarities previously performed live, and track 11 was on a compilation honoring music of the '70s. The bouncy, college rock jangle that Letters to Cleo serves up on their final recording, Sister, won't surprise many listeners familiar with the band. By 1998 the cutesy warble of alterna-girl rockers had just about gone completely out of fashion and this group might have been feeling a bit of a backlash because of it. They had lost their major-label deal after two GiantRevolution releases went almost entirely unnoticed, and the promising days of Aurora Gory Alice must have seemed like ancient history.
