Ska n Seoul, the latest offering from South Koreas Kingston Rudieska, is a 5 song EP collaboration with the reggaeskadancehall legend, Dr. Ring Ding. The album pays homage to a wide spectrum of musical styles from a rootsy, church-organ driven version of Swing Low Sweet Chariot to classic ska originals written by both parties. The first track, Johnny Come Home, is a dark, jazzy cover of the famous Fine Young Cannibals song. Ring Ding sings in a tone a bit smoother than his usual whiskey growl which fits well with the tunes sentiment. Ring Ding Richard Alexander Jung is a German Reggae, Ska and Dancehall artist. In the more than 20 years of his musical activity, he has become an integral part of the international music scene. Jung lives in Germany, but spent a part of his childhood in his mothers native France. At the age of six he started playing the recorder and switched later to playing the trumpet and eventually the trombone.
