Night Train is an EP by English rock band Keane. The EP's title and material was born out of the group's Perfect Symmetry World Tour of 20082009. Night Train debuted at number 1 on the UK Albums Chart. The EP was recorded in various studios during the Perfect Symmetry World tour, and mastered at Abbey Road Studios. Tracks Stop for a Minute and Looking Back mark Keane's collaboration with SomaliCanadian rapper K'Naan. Keane top the UK album chart with their Night Train EP in the first week of its release. Night Train has been released just 18 months after Perfect Symmetry, which included the song Spiralling. The band wrote the songs on the EP while touring to promote the album. Drummer Richard Hughes said the songs were inspired by all parts of the world particulary South America. The EP is the flipside of touring for a year, where each night we'd play a song that we'd had for years, he said. Writing and recording on the road meant that we could be creative.
