Vudomuro
This is a first recorded collaboration of Karin Krog and her partner John Surman. It is a beautiful mixture of John Surman's lyrical, etherial sound and Krog's half-husky voice. Participation of a drummer Stu Martin, adds a vital rhythm to some of the tunes (in particular, _New Spring_). One of the best pieces on this album, from my point of view, is _Jonathan_, which is recorded again in _Such Winters Of Memory_ a few years later. Another strikingly strong piece is _Empty Streets_, in which there is an ensemble of Baritone Sax (overdubbed) plays fascinating music at closing. Of the four studio albums they made together (this, _Such Winters_, _Freestyle_, and _Bluesand_) I personally think that this first album is the most coherent and presents consistent high quality across the pieces.
