It's pretty clear that the members of Jumprope spent a lot of time listening to Velocity Girl and Heavenly before getting together to form their own band. On top of the lead vocalist doing her best Sarah Shannon impression, the remainder of The Pensive EP contains an innocent, mid-tempo charm of quirky pop. Although this isn't the most memorable band within this genre, there's a possibility that at least one of these songs could fit on a mix tape for that special someone.
