Welcome to the Cruise is the title of the debut album by the British singer-songwriter Judie Tzuke, released in 1979. The album peaked at on the UK Albums Chart and was certified Gold in 1981 by the British Phonographic Industry for sales in excess of 100,000 copies. Recorded and mixed at AIR Studios in London, the album includes the hit single Stay with Me till Dawn, which peaked at in the UK and remains Tzuke's only Top 40 hit to date the album was also titled Stay With Me till Dawn. Really interesting album from Ms Tzuke that manages to cross a number of genres from soul to rock to disco withough sounding over elaborate or cluttered. She really has a fantastic voice and it always surprises me that her career didnt go further given her obvious talent. The stand out track for me is Stay With Me Till Dawn which has a wonderful synth, keyboard break in the middle which was pretty much lifted in its entirety when sampled by Mylo on In My Arms.
