Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail that will affect the sound. Jazz Warriors formed as an ad hoc group by 1986. This album was recorded in 1987 and features five tunes, three composed by the young Courtney Pine, who now needs no further reference. The other two tunes come from a young trombonist Fayyaz Virji, and the older statesman, Harry Beckett who also plays on this album. The other experienced musician is South African Claude Deppa tpt.
