Christmas music is usually the worst... But we're trying to change that.

Last weekend we hosted the annual Joyful Noise holiday party at our headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana. However, this year we did something a little different: we invited our artists to join the party, and record holiday songs on-site.

Artists such as Yoni Wolf, Richard Edwards, Oneida, Dumb Numbers, Jad Fair and others showed up to the party, and recorded exclusive holiday songs that we are releasing on snowflake-shaped 7" lathe-cut records. Each release is limited to just 100 copies, and is hand-made by us here at JNR. Each purchase includes a digital download of ALL NINE tracks, and 100% of the net proceeds will go to benefit The Fund for Global Human Rights.

Jad Fair born June 9, 1954 is an American singer, guitarist, graphic artist, and founding member of lo-fi alternative rock group Half Japanese. Fair was born in Coldwater, Michigan. In 1974, he and his brother David formed the lo-fi group Half Japanese. Since then, Half Japanese has released nearly 30 records. Besides Half Japanese, Fair performs and records as a solo artist, and collaborates with artists such as Terry Adams, Kramer, Norman Blake, Kevin Blechdom, Isobel Campbell, Eugene Chadbourne. Jad Fair is a pioneering musician and a world-famous outsider artist. He is best known as the co-founder and front man for the band Half Japanese. Jad's artwork is featured on a few of these collaborative efforts and on most of the Half Japanese recordings.
