Info

Cold House is the fifth studio album by English indie rock band Hood. It was released on Domino Recording Company on 12 November 2001. Three tracks feature vocal contributions from Doseone and Why, two-thirds of the hip hop group Clouddead. You Show No Emotion at All was released as a single from the album. Moving closer to their goal of blending beep-and-click electronica with the exotic tunefulness of space rock, Cold House is a cold and delicate examination of isolation. Hood creates unique and interesting variations on melodies while taking dirty, lo-fi beats to carry them. The guitar work is extremely minimal, drawing attention to the thin and frightened vocals that seem to haunt the songs more than take part in them. The biggest surprise on Cold House is the guest spots by Anticon MCs Dose-One and Why. I'm not sure how Hood hooked up with the San Francisco rappers, but their inclusion here was a brilliant decision. The duo's scat lyrics and drum-n-bass delivery really temper the album, preventing it fr. Hood - Cold house 2001. To favorites 1 Download album. Listen album. Indie Rock Post-Rock Indietronica.
