High Voltage is the first internationally released studio album by Australian hard rock band ACDC. It contains tracks from their first two previous Australia-only issued albums: High Voltage and . both from 1975. However, initially the album was panned by some critics upon its release. High Voltage is the debut studio album by Australian hard rock band ACDC, released only in Australia, on 17 February 1975. The album is named after high voltage, electrical energy at voltages high enough to inflict harm on living organisms. In November 1973, guitarists Malcolm Young and Angus Young formed ACDC and recruited bassist Larry Van Kriedt, vocalist Dave Evans, and Colin Burgess, ex-Masters Apprentices drummer.
