Info
Harmonium En Tournée is a live album by Harmonium, consisting of a live performance of the studio album L'Heptade, recorded live in Vancouver, 1977. After selling tens of thousands of copies, unauthorised by the band, CBS stopped distribution. After 20 years of being copied exclusively illegally by cassette, a foreign unauthorised CD version started being. Released as a two-LP set in 1980, En Tournée documents Harmonium's tour of the West Coast in 1977. The band performs the entirety of L'Heptade, except for the orchestral prologue, bridges, and epilogue written by Neil Chotem and found on the studio version. This was the band's last tour, and by then the acoustic guitar folk trio featured on Harmonium had grown into a seven-piece progressive rock group. Album Name Harmonium en Tournée. Type Album. By their 2nd album, they were very much a cross between a symphonic rock band and a folk band an interesting combination which you can hear most clearly on the 20-minute Histoire Sans Paroles. Overall, a Tournée was Harmonium's live album, recorded in 1977 in Vancouver a rather unlikely place for a Quebec band singing exclusively in French to be performing in, but they did it, showing that music can transcend cultural and political differences, although when the album starts with Serge Fiori saying Bon Jour the audience reaction was rather mixed, but that sure changed when. the music actually started. It was not released until 1980, after the group had broken up. I can't be really surprised that L'Heptade should be Harmonium's final studio album. Serge Fior
