This collection of hits, rarities, and outtakes from 14 of Goblin's film and television scores is a hit-and-miss affair, showcasing the band's creepy synth workouts and their funky, tension-packed progressive instrumentals, but not giving enough attention to some of their key material. Fans of John Carpenter's film scores as well as fans of late-'90s post-rock saviors Tortoise and Trans Am will both find much to admire in these timeless tunes. True lovers of the blood & gore genre know that Italian filmmaker Dario Argento and Pittsburgh's one and only George Romero are two of the best in the biz, and both turned to the Italian art-rock group Goblin when they needed otherworldly sounds to match their nightmarish visions. This is a pretty great collection of select pieces from their soundtrack work. All the tunes that get stuck into your head after watching these films, are here. Goblin is the debut studio album by American rapper Tyler, the Creator. It was released on May 10, 2011, by XL Recordings. Goblin continues Tyler's dialogues with his fictional therapist Dr. TC, first heard on his 2009 mixtape, Bastard. The album's songs were produced almost entirely by Tyler himself, along with a contribution from fellow Odd Future member Left Brain.
