Ropin' the Wind was made in this kind of tour that we were on from No Fences. We were gone, pretty much 250 days out of the year. Ropin' The Wind is Garth Brooks' third Capitol Records album. Garth made history with Ropin' The Wind, because not only was this record a 1 country album, but it started out at 1 on Billboard's pop charts and went on to match the sales of its predecessor, No Fences. Indeed, I found a lot to like about this record. Rodeo, written by Garth's buddy Larry Bastian, is probably the best song I've heard about what it's like to be a rodeo performerand how the rodeo gets in the way of everything else.
