Intro When It's Dark Out Lyrics. When Its Dark Out is the highly anticipated follow-up album for These Things Happen, which surprised many last year from what seemed like an anomalous rise to fame. The record spins on both Gs introspective thoughts and bangers that glamorize his crazy lifestyle. When Its Dark Out Q&A. G-Eazy - When It's Dark Out FULL ALBUM dope new album by gerald Check us out Check out 2015 17 Songs. The line from Sad Boy encapsulates G-Eazys mindset on When Its Dark Out. He raps long and hard about the changing landscape One of Them with Big Sean and the spoils of success Order More, the trap stomper You Got Me . But its late-night confessionals like Nothing To Me, Me, Myself & I, and For This that elevate G-Eazy from rap VIP to MVP. The albums highlight, Everything Will Be OK -which finds him reminiscing and sending messages to the family and friends he left behind in his quest for immortality-is one of the most vulnerable, soul-baring tracks youll hear. On G-Eazy's second LP, When It's Dark Out, the self-made Young Gerald oozes confidence on a nocturnal journey of hedonistic rhymes set to the wooziest of productions. He spits about what he knows: gratification, how to attain it, and the energy expended in the process. Yet despite the pitfalls and pain that he raps about here, the lures of pleasure and fame remain mighty. G-Eazy covers familiar ground, spinning similar tales of drugs, partying, and fornicating over 17 addictive tracks without the decadence ever growing stale, like wandering through different, enticing corner. Released: Dec 2015. Label: BPGRVGRCA Records. G-Eazy steps his game up here, rapping more convincingly and, after the flavorless These Things Happen sold well but didnt yield any major hits, he seems determined to craft better songs. He celebrates his Bay Area hometown albeit shallowly, but too often resorts to saying things like, Of all the things you could pick to be, you sure look like a bitch or a hater to me

It took finally traveling out of California for me to give this record a chance. A solid major label debut, even if some of the tracks only feature a verse or two. All of "When It's Dark Out" is pure honesty , whether Gerald is wishfully thinking ("One of Them"), fucked up ("Some Kind Of Drug" or on the Southside slapper "You Got Me"), or contemplating making amends ("Think About You", "Everything Will Be OK") there is sprinkles of a little bit of everything that has made G-Eazy a household name and able to get the co-signs of both Bay area legends Too $hort ("Of All Things") and E-40 ("Nothing To Me") respectfully. It may take some convincing, and maybe forgiving BeBe Rexha for that god awful hook on "Me, Myself , & I" (she did craft the hook for Eminem's "The Monster" so she's cool in my book) but once I gave Gerald the chance, I did not regret it.
