It was first released on October 21, 1994, mostly recorded in previous months at Metropolis Studios in London, England. It would be the last Fishmans album to feature Hakase-Sun on keyboards. Despite its funk rock leanings, the album also heavily foreshadows Fishmans' future dream pop-oriented sound, such as songs like 帰り道 or Woofer Girl. On Fishmans' official website, the latter half of the album is described as slow reggae, elaborating that this. On March 17, 1995, Fishmans released their first live album Oh Mountain following a five-city tour in celebration of Orange's release. The album isn't a true live album however, as much of the content presented was remixed by ZAK in studio to improve sound quality and add interesting sounds to create a unique home listening experience.
