Ewy EOD remains to be one of my favorite Braindance purveyors of the last ten years of so. Nobody plays analogue synths quite as well as he does, and his melodies always make me want to jump up and dance. Here's to the future of a very talented and inspiring electronic music producer . Strong EP, all tracks are great and far better than AFX stuff of the last 15 years. Would any of the Analords sound like this it would have been cool Responder Ver 12 respuestas Notifícame 4 Helpful. EOD - Swurlk EP With reams of brainy hardware electro to his name, some of it released on Rephlex Records, EOD owes Aphex Twin about as big a debt as Bjarki does. The two producers channel different sides of Aphex: Bjarki his imagination and disruptive energy, EOD specific parts of his sound and technique. This makes the Swurlk EP a fairly strait-laced addition to the madcap bbbbbb catalogue. But it's a satisfying bit of modern braindance, striking a classic RDJ-style balance between itchy machine-funk groove and lush synthetic melody. The latter wins out over the former as the EP progres. Tracklist 1. Swurlk snarlfingercroak mix 05:21 2. Evenhark 06:21 3. Swarm 05:30 4. ELCASET TESTGROOVE 05:39. Скачать Eod - Swurlk. AFX and EOD/CN both have their own sound! Surely one made music before the other and one was hugely influential already a long time ago. The harmonics and moods of the melodies of these two, are very distinct though, and I do not hear AFX in EOD/CN melodies or vice versa. It's not always necessary to compare. Artists in their own right.

seems so strange to compare something so subjective as music like this. EOD stands alone in all that he does. this release is nuts. analords are and probably always will be my favorite releases of all time. cant compete with nostalgia

thanks for repeating over and over your static played out notion that RDJ sucks for 15 years and for continuing to disrespect two artists at the same time , truly enlightening

The artist states: "i love richard's music & he's an artist that still manages to provide something new and interesting to his spectrum of music" So, maybe you should leave it alone and stop slandering RDJ in public and claiming he is somehow an artistic failure on EOD's page. While discogs is and should be a democracy of open thought and speech, if you pick up on EODs reaction to your previous post, It is negative and completely unnecessary to continue to slander RDJ's recent output on EOD's new EP page. EOD: " there is no need to put anyone down in a review here, especially not someone like richard"

Thanks for your reply and for your humility. I was just telling my opinion: RDJ is still the artist you're the closest to, so I see a point in comparing both your recent output. He failed in re-inventing himself, whereas you bring fresh ideas (strong melodies, new sounds, interesting build-ups...). His former stuff (up to Drukqs) is untouchable to my ears though.

reply directed to daftcombo of course, i totally agree with wrechord :) there is no need to put anyone down in a review here, especially not someone like richard (who is the reason why this ep is out in the first place)

nonsense imo, i love richard's music & he's an artist that still manages to provide something new and interesting to his spectrum of music. as for recipes, i think comparing anything in this vein to aphex alone on a constant basis is easily the most overused recipe by reviewers of the last 15 years ;) that being said, i'm glad you like it. there is a lot more than just afx in there though.

Right, I disagree with this magical point of 15 years ago when he stopped making " interesting music". On a personal level, I love most of analord, the tuss , and other monikers he's used since 2002. EOD is good ass stuff, no doubt, but this black and white, him or her, sort of attitude about RDJ vs anyone else is I believe counterproductive and a bit extreme of a way to talk and think about art and artists. I find it slanderous this notion of publicly stating a beloved artist has sucked for 15 years when analord alone, I don't know anyone who says it sucked or sucks or is not interesting. Listen to "I'm self employed" and tell me it is not " interesting". Simple dope 303 lines with sharp breakbeats and nice minimalist melody , broken down, and rebuild all while keeping simple melody, variations, dopeness. Come on. Give up on this 15 years theory and open your heart to the love!

Of course Richard is a pioneer, but he stopped making interesting music 15 years ago. EOD is a lot better than him now, though basically using the former's recipes.

Asinine comment to the max. First off, analord is 42 tracks, secondly, most trax are dope. Respectfully signed,a fan of both artists. Also, er, um, without RDJ there would not be EOD genre music. Where is the respect? Sheesh.

Might be just me, but while I enjoy the EP at "intended" playback speed of 33, I find myself quite enjoying tracks A1, A2 and--to a lesser extent--B2 played at 45. A1 in particular really does it for me at 45. It's right on up there with some of my favorite D&B-tinged, 'Braindance' releases and artists.I don't mean to take away from the experience the record produces at 33. Both approaches are most pleasant (and pleasantly different). Not sure if this is intentional or a "happy accident"; regardless, its made it one of my favorite releases of 2017.
