Spinner is an instrumental album by British musicians Brian Eno and Jah Wobble . John Wardle, released in 1995. Where We Lived 2:59. Like Organza 2:44. Steam 3:16. Garden Recalled 3:21. Of course, Eno fans could find merit in 40 minutes of amplifier hum, and they'll find it in Spinner too. Some will point to individual sections that sound like Ambient 2: The Plateaux of Mirror, Discreet Music, My Life in the Bush of Ghosts, and other instances where Eno's muse has been better served, claiming that this music too functions well as ambient music albeit with a dub presence. Eno felt the soundtrack didnt quite hold up apart from the film, so he employed another of his favorite tactics, which was to invite one of his favorite musicians to alter the existing tapes with new sounds. For this occasion, that collaborator was former PiL bassist Jah Wobble, who radically reworked some of Enos original tracks and left others, like the austere Garden Recal. Where We Lived 3:00 2. SPINNER is an album with compositions by Brian Eno and Jah Wobble. I give this album FIVE STARS, but only for one reason. The reason is that Brian Eno has provided to the world, one of the finest albums in the entire realm of music, namely, LIFE IN THE BUSH OF GHOSTS. And so, I am voting for Mr. Eno, by designating SPINNER as FIVE STAR album, when it really only deserves TWO STARS. On the SPINNER album, I found only three of the compositions interesting enough to write about. SPINNER 2:54. Starts with a whoosh of white noise. At 15-seconds begins a syncopated bass guitar motif that repeats itself indefinitely
