It was released by Atlantic Records in November 1979, following ELP's breakup. It was later re-released and repackaged as Works Live in 1993. Deep Purple - New York 1973 - Full , Lake and Palmer in Concert is a live album by Emerson, Lake & Palmer ELP, recorded at 26 August 1977 show at the Olympic Stadium, Montreal, which is featured on the album cover. Similar to most live albums, In Concert showcased fan favourites of previously released material. A half-hearted release, intended to fulfill contracts and not much else. Their third live album, and their least interesting, although it was later expanded and improved in reissue form as Works Live. In Concert is a jazz related rock music live album recording by EMERSON LAKE AND PALMER released in 1979 on CD, LPVinyl andor cassette. Emerson, Lake & Palmer Format: Vinyl. 1979's In Concert was the last of three live albums that progressive rock supergroup Emerson Lake & Palmer released during the 1970s, and represented sort of a bittersweet swan song for the band's classic period. It lacks many of ELP's signature songs from the early 1970s which had already appeared on 1974's Welcome Back My Friends To The Show That Never Ends. and suffers from lackluster production values. Recorded in Montreal's Olympic Stadium, In Concert was basically a contract-fulfilling album since the band had already broken up prior to this 1979 release. There really isn't anything spectacular about this album and for all intents and purposes, one might just consider it a supplement to the two previous live albums ELP released Pictures at an Exhibition and Welcome Back My Friends.
