Bassist Eddie Gomez born in New York leads a truly international trio on this obscure CD, which also features Turkish pianist Aydin Esen and Italian drummer Marcello Pellitteri. Esen is particularly impressive, playing highly original solos and contributing three of the seven songs including 5 O'Clock Jump and A Song for Coltrane the drummer also brought in three tunes while the group collaborated spontaneously on Impro One. I think this is one of the milestone albums in 1986. It is quite hard to find old albums of Aydin Esen. But even in 1986 he was extraordinary. So do Gomez and Pellitteri.
