Early Takes: Volume 1 is a compilation album of tracks recorded by George Harrison, released on 1 May 2012. The tracks were featured in and originally released as part of the deluxe version of Martin Scorsese's 2011 documentary film George Harrison: Living in the Material World. Early Takes: Volume 1 was released on 1 May 2012 by UMe on CD, LP and as a digital download. THE EARLY DAYS The first seed, that later was to become the significant sound of , was planted in early 2004, but it was not until 2007 that the circle was fully closed and the band was ready to take on the world.
