The band went through two line-ups, both featuring singer Jeff Hepting and bassist Pete Webb. The first line-up also featured current Def Leppard and Man Raze guitarist Phil Collen and drummer Fred Ball. The second line-up featured guitarist Paul Mason, keyboardist Andy Tompsett, and drummer Graham Garrett. Hepting, Collen, and Ball had previously played together in the band Tush. The Dumb Blondes were a continuation from The 'Original' Dumb Blondes 1977-80 Guitarist Phil Collen had now left to join the band Girl and then in 1983 he joined Def Leppard where he is to this day and also plays in his own band ManRaze with ex-Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook and former Girl bassist Simon Laffy. Drummer Fred Ball also left and new members Paul Mason Guitar & Graham Garrett Drums joined this line-up of the Dumb Blondes mkII. The Band became 'less heavy' and were now more keyboard orientated with the recruitment of Andy Thompsett Keyboards, this w. The Dumb Blondes were a continuation from The 'Original' Dumb.
