Текст песни: I fell deeper and deeper as light now was gone I could feel the dark embrace my soul Agony was no more, and so was pain At this point of solitude I knew I was there. The Somberlain is the debut album by Swedish black metal band Dissection, released on December 3, 1993. It proved to be a highly influential release for both black metal and melodic death metal. The band dedicated the album to Euronymous, who had been murdered in August the same year. This is the only album that features the band's original lineup. The artwork was created by Kristian 'Necrolord' Wåhlin. The album was composed and arranged between 1989 and 1993. Thanks for the reviews guys I was going to secure a copy of this but now I will wait until they do a quality repress of this with original artwork, as well as storm of the light's bane which has reached retarded asking price value.

This is a bad reissue. Very weak sounding side A and side B is more louder. it is clearly taken from a cd source. I thought the Black Horizons pic disc issue was pretty weak but this reissue is even worse. If you’re a die hard Dissection fan and would want to collect different physical issue variants, then this would be a pretty decent buy. If you’re here for the sound, stay away from this release.

Looks like all presses have this volume differnce. B side is louder than A side. It is weird actually why this was even released that way.

This reissue is a weird one. The original artwork has been replaced by a pretty boring sleeve with an embossed logo but I can live with that, 'cause the music is excellent. The pressing however is also weird one. Why is the playing time on the A side over 30 minutes and the B side just 15 minutes. This is a bad decision. They should've used the original picture disc order as the tracklisting. The thing is that side A because of the long playing time is infinitely lower in volume than side B. The soundquality is OK but I have to turn down my amp as soon as side B is playing, this is very annoying. This issue with the A side also results in having more surface noise because you have to turn up the volume in order to enjoy the music and this pressing on gold/black marbled vinyl looks ok, sounds decent except for the parts where the acoustic guitar is playing, you will hear hiss and noise. I am happy to finally own this on vinyl but I just don't understand the decisions that have been made with this reissue.
