Days is the second studio album by American indie rock band Real Estate, released on October 18, 2011 on Domino Records. The album was recorded over the course of five months in a remote New Paltz, New York barn with Kevin McMahon as the producer, except for Out of Tune, which was recorded by Jarvis Taveniere at Rear House in Brooklyn, New York. This feeling of pleasant entrapment permeates the bands second album from its sound down to its lyrical subjects. Working with producer Kevin McMahon, Real Estate give their music a coat of polish that makes their jangly guitars, sighing melodies, and complex harmonies glisten, but also smoothes off the edges and quirks that made their self-titled debut so appealing. The title of the album, Doom Days, was first revealed at the Edinburgh Summer Sessions concert on August 9, 2018. The album was officially released on June 14, 2019. This album has most commonly been described as an apocalyptic party record. very slightly nineties looking euphoric party album but in a sort of scuzzy British way that kind of acknowledges that we still live in the same world as we made our last record, if not a slightly more bizarre one. But, how its not necessarily healthy for the mind to engage with it too much. Its a record about escapism. Its definitely more personal and inward-looking forward. Day of Days are four piece alternative rockdance collaboration. They have an evergrowing fan base which has seen them play some the top venuesevents in Scotland, King Tuts, ABC and Big in Falkirk to list a few. Released January 5, 2014
