Info

Follow Global Underground Series to never miss another show. GU returns Down Under as Dave Seaman mans the controls. As one of the original international superstars to build a reputation for himself in Australia, it was fitting that this mix was put together around one of his regular visits there. As one of GUs most prolific DJs this is his third outing for the City series, the deeper, darker sound explored on 022 was not to the tastes of some fans of his previous discs on the famously unforgiving GU Forum, but equally confirmed his status as one of the most talented, exciting jocks in the world to many others. Global Underground 022: Dave Seaman, Melbourne is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Dave Seaman. He's big Down Under, Dave Seaman. They like the man for his lack of pretension, his adventurous spirit, or perhaps just his far-ranging scope of styles, a repertoire that takes in everything from ethnic breakbeats to eerie, fractured house. At any rate, it's only right he should deliver a Global Underground mix that reflects his love affair with Aussie club culture. CD No. 1 highlights his subtle eclecticism, blending weird tribal dub and electronica into a steep incline of pounding techno

One of the most underrated of the GU City Series imo. Dave Seaman and Nick Warren we're my 2 favorite DJs back then because they always had a different sound to all the mix comps and this was quite different than other prog comps of the day.

Dave hits the spot big time. This is a rockin' couple of cd's, I like the first one but cd2 is the bomb. Progressive, trancey, minimal, house, vocals...and even flamenco get thrown into a whirlpool of a mix, really fucken cool and funky. Threw this on at a party recently and everyone loved it...fucken A.
