This set features :
- CD1: a Digipak CD reissue the original CD album (released in 2000). (disc label: paper-brown)
- CD2: a Digipak CD reissue of the original double-vinyl album (released in 2000) which features slightly different mixes of the tracks. This CD comes in an identical Digipak, but has a different coloured CD label (disc label: powder blue).
- CD3: a clam-shell case CD featuring harmonium drones created by David Tibet whilst working on ideas and melodies and faces prior to recording the album. 5 pieces, all instrumental, except for an alternate take of "The God Of Sleep Has Made His House".

The album was written and recorded as a reaction to the death of David Tibet's father and prominently features harmonium. The lyrics were mostly written by David Tibet and the music composed by Michael Cashmore. The album title was taken from the title of a book by the British writer, Anna Kavan. It is easily the most minimal and personal of all Current 93 recordings. Michael Cashmore played all the instruments except the harmonium, which is played by Tibet. Nurse with Wound's Steve Stapleton played the world. It can safely be assumed that the sonic treatments on individual instruments here were done by him, perhaps even a bit of keyboard playing.
