Info
I Am the Last of All the Field That Fell: A Channel is an album by British experimental music group, Current 93. It was released on 4 March 2014 through The Spheres record label. The album, which was premiered live on 12 February 2014 at Union Chapel in Islington, features contributions from various artists, including James Blackshaw, Andrew Liles, Ossian Brown, Antony Hegarty, Nick Cave, John Zorn and These New Puritans member Jack Barnett. The album's tracks are a suite meant to be played in order, as dynamics, textures, and styles touch, repel, contract, attract, expand, and merge, often disintegrating into sound itself. At times, Tibet's half-sunghalf-spoken poetry is framed by musical arrangements that can evolve so slowly they feel static. The Invisible Church is driven by VanHoudt's repetitive, nearly hypnotic series of classical changes, dusted by Stokes' cymbals and made otherworldly by McPhee's out-of-time acoustic slide guitar. Watson's ghostly mezzo-soprano underscores the dra. Featuring ANOHNI. Writers David Tibet. More Current 93 albums. The Light Is Leaving Us All. Black Ships Ate the Sky. Show all albums by Current 93. David Michael Tibet is the founder of the Hallucinatory Patripassianist rock group Current 93 as well as the new sphere, MYRNINEREST. For the last three decades, Current 93 have been not so much a band as an ever-evolving collective anchored around the complicated vision of David Tibet. I Am the Last of All the Field That Fell not only re-taps past collaborators Antony Hegarty, James Blackshaw, and Nick Cave, but adds John Zorn and Dutch classical pianist Reinier van Houdt, among others, to the fold. Still, such an astounding lineup only serves to reinforce the disappointment of the flat and oftentimes gangly Field. Tibets voice does not easily fit many definitions. Album 2014 11 Songs.
