Surface is the self-titled debut studio album from the band of the same name. Three years after releasing the midtempo boogie track Falling in Love on Salsoul, Surface released their first album self-produced and released in 1986 on Columbia Records. The album peaked at number 11 on the Billboard R&B albums chart and number 55 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart. At the same time, the hit single Happy peaked at number 2 on Billboard Hot R&BHip-Hop Singles & Tracks. The other song, Lately. Cold Water is the debut album from Australian blues and roots musician, Mia Dyson, and was released in May 2003. Cold Water highlights Dyson's song writing and musicianship and a collaboration with Dean Addison and Carl Pannuzzo. Apart from the vocals, Dyson plays electric, baritone, acoustic and lap steel guitars as well as piano. It introduces guest musicians, Steve Hesketh Sime Nugent, Dan Brodie on Hammond and piano, Sime Nugent and Kylie Auldist on backing vocals and Jaimi Faulkner on guitar.
