Dinosaurus Stereophonicus contains two hours of progressive rock music, including various references to '70s progressive music monsters. Usually a double CD can be a major success or total career suicide, but somehow CMX doesn't achieve either of those statuses with this album. As it is easily predictable, half of Dinosaurus' material is very good, but the other half may be the most boring work CMX has ever done. Songs like the heavy Iliman Pielet and the massive Meidän Syntimme represent the excellent side of Dinosaurus. Also, progressive songs like &quo. Dinosaurus Stereophonicus is the eighth album by the Finnish rock group CMX, released in 2000. It was recorded after the band had decided to stop touring and become a full-time studio band. The decision only lasted till 2002. The two-hour-long double album is heavily influenced by 1970s progressive rock, such as King Crimson, Pink Floyd and Yes.
