Circus of Power. 1993's Magic and Madness was the first and last Circus of Power recording for Columbia records after three RCA releases and only a modicum of late 80s hard rock success. 12 tracks 58:38. Circus Of Power was a tattooed, unshaven and leather-clad biker band that played an uncompromising brand of sleaze metal. Early publicity rumors stated that the band played several shows for the New York chapter of the Hell's Angels in their formative years. Circus of Power is a hard rockheavy metal band, formed in 1986 in New York City. They have released four studio albums and two live EPsalbums. the band persevered, recording and releasing their third album Magic and Madness in 1993 two years later, the band disbanded, ironically, just as grunge phenomenon was starting to die. Lyrically and visually Circus of Power are heavily influenced by the biker scene and to this day, play at biker events and festivals. Members have included vocalist Alex Mitchell, guitar players Ricky Mahler and Gary Sunshine, and drummer Ryan Maher. Of these, Mitchell is the only remaining founding member.
