Unfortunately, the band is not able to match their vitriol with memorable tunes. Anyone who's considered Chicks On Speeds' endeavours to be merely idealistic electroclash, will be pleased to learn they've ditched the kitschy synths, collaborated with little-known Spanish band the No Heads and adopted a garage guitar sound. The trouble is, they've also stopped writing songs. Instead, there are collages of sound devoid of subtlety colliding rhythms that make noise rather than sense.
