Info
Chicago at Carnegie Hall is the first live album, and fourth album overall, by American band Chicago. It was initially released on October 25, 1971 by Columbia Records as a four-LP vinyl box set, and was also available for a time as two separate two-record sets. A Quadraphonic mix of the album was proposed, but was never performed, possibly due to the band's objection to the album being released in the first place. This is the only Chicago album of the group's first ten releases not to have a. Complétez votre collection Chicago. Subsets were also released separately: Chicago At Carnegie Hall - Volumes I And II and Chicago At Carnegie Hall: Volumes III And IV. In The Country. Sean Trane. Also known as Chicago 4, this is not a double studio album, but 'would you believe it a quadruple live album that came in, a luxurious boxset including a superb booklet and a few poster, including a 3-D plan of the Carnegie venue. This awesome package not that expensive either back then was simply unsurpassed during the 70's, the only downside being the overly-simple bland artwork. Their previous three double LPs continued extended runs on the pop album chart and likewise spawned a number of hit singles. So by the time the group hit the Big Apple for these shows, they were among the hottest things happening. Chicago's set list is wholly representative of the material from Chicago Transit Authority 1969, Chicago II 1970, and Chicago III 1971 and includes several extended multi-song medleys from each. Anyway, Chicago at Carnegie Hall is a very nice collection, kind of like a Greatest Hits collection before Chicago became the sound it was known for in the 1970s. I'm so glad I didn't pass this one up. Read more.
