I can't say how long I spent in the thick of its machine zaps and pitter-patter percussion before realizing this-I'd sunk as deep into the zone as I had in a long time, but I had to chuckle at the trick. CC Not's sleight of hand doesn't just demarcate a near-perfect techno loop-it also pokes fun at the seriousness of the pursuit. Acting Press have definitely proved themselves to be the best newcomers of 2015 in my opinion - PLO Man's BCR sets helped to solidify a good reputation before the label started releasing records, but an debut like this only comes along occasionally. There's a real nice sense of the old and new here and while you can make an educated guess as to the influences on this record.. it doesn't sound derivative. I love the misty eyed, psychedelic, cavernous vibe of the tracks here, particularly Attribution Link and [303 IMUX]. There's not a bad track on here, i've been playing every single one of these tracks out, each one brings it's own unique atmosphere. Superb 12".

I've been thinking about this, and I'm not sure if 'dickcunts' works as one word. You can't hear the c from cunts, so it just sounds like 'dickunts'. Maybe at a push, you could say dick-cunts. But cunt is such a great word, you can't really improve it, so prob just leave the dick out of it, for the time being at least.
