In 1981 she received a Ph. in Composition from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York where she held the Edgard Varèse Fellowship in Composition and studied with Morton Feldman. The scores - all part of the private library of the composer - were provided to Testklang exclusively. The pieces were recorded 2012 in Berlin with Ensemble Adapter under the baton of Manuel Nawri. Bunita Marcus was present during the recordings. The close cooperation has led to recordings of unique intensity. The Sugar Cubes CDDVD includes an orchestration by Morton Feldman of Bunita's piano composition Merry Christmas Mrs. The original solo piano version of this work was recorded by Marc Tritschler during the making of the Sugar Cubes CDDVD. It is not in the final Testklang CDDVD package and is now being offered as a separate free download here
