The ensemble featured eleven members, making touring and rehearsals difficult to coordinate. While facing financial and logistical issues associated with selling self-released vinyl out of his basement, Moore was put in touch with experimental label RVNG Intl. In 2014, Bing & Ruth signed with the label RVNG Intl. and issued Tomorrow Was the Golden Age the following year, they reissued City Lake in a larger print run. The group whittled down from the eleven players on their first album, City Lake, to seven for their newest, Tomorrow Was The Golden Age: two upright bassists, two clarinetists, a cellist and a tape delay tech, all supporting David Moores sublime yet resonant piano scores. Outside of Bing & Ruth, Moore is also a multi-faceted composer, scoring under his own name and for old-time fiddle groups, which he describes as drone-base read more. In 2014, RVNG Intl. issued the outfit's acclaimed sophomore effort, Tomorrow Was the Golden Age. It showcased a controlled yet emotionally expressive music that contained ethereal shifts between darkness and light, as modern crossover classical music encountered ambient and new age.
