Info

Waters of Change is the second album by the Scottish progressive band Beggars Opera, published in 1971. With respect to its predecessor Act One, Waters of Change features a rather different sound, which is less derivative of The Nice and Deep Purple MK I, and it is often described as the band's best work. Ricky Gardiner - lead guitar, vocals, acoustic guitar. Martin Griffiths - lead vocal, Cow Bell. Alan Park - organ, piano. Gordon Sellar - bass and acoustic guitar, vocals. Waters Of Change. The musicians of BEGGARS OPERA were Martin Griffiths vocals, Rick Gardiner guitar and vocals, Alan Park keyboards, Gordon Sellar bass, acoustic guitar and vocals, Virginia Scott Mellotron and vocals and Raymond Wilson drums and percussion. BEGGARS OPERA made a lot of records but remained acting in the shade of most progressive rock bands. Only for completionists 1. Waters of Change is a good symphonic prog rock album but I dont think its excellent. This is and album organ enthusiasts will probably enjoy more than I do. Ill rate Waters of Change 3 stars and like in my review of the debut I must admit that Beggars Opera just isnt something for me. Review by ZowieZiggy PROG REVIEWER. Beggars Opera was a band from Scotland that managed a handful of albums from 1970 to 1980. Of course, it's their first three albums that their reputation lies on: Act One 1970, Waters of Change 1971, and Pathfinder 1972. With Waters of Change, the band added Virginia Scott, a rare example of a female Mellotron player other example going to Angela Allen of Carmen. The 1971 release Their 2nd from Beggars Opera Waters Of Change didn't get picked up by the majority of musical radarscopes but it offers a noncommercial mix of U. progressive and psychedelia. It seems unfair that any release should be judged solely against the gold standard. Completa tu colección de Beggars Opera
