Info

This Is Where I Came In is the twenty-second and final studio album by the English pop group the Bee Gees. It was released on 24 April 2001 by Polydor in the UK and Universal in the US, just less than two years before Maurice Gibb's unexpected death from a cardiac arrest before surgery to repair a twisted intestine. It is the only album of all-new material released by them on the Universal Music label which had acquired the rights to the group's releases on Polydor Records when they bought that label. This Is Where I Came In is a song by the Bee Gees. It was the only single from their final album and was featured as the last song performed on the live Bee Gees 1997 PBS special One Night Only before the album release of This Is Where I Came In as an experimental song at that time the song was titled This Is Just Where I Came In before being changed and shortened to the current song title, This Is Where I Came In, released in 2001. The song was written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb. Not many musicians could pull off placing a Dixieland-style song on an album in 2001. However, this is the Bee Gees, and not only does Technicolor Dreams work, but it is arguably the best song on the album. With its toe-tapping, enchanting clarinet solo and charming lyrics, Technicolor Dreams personifies how music is seen through the eyes of a Gibb. And listeners are fortunate for this Bee Gees-eye view. The album entitled This Is Where I Came In would be released in April of this would quickly become another top twenty winner in the where it reached would also reach the top twenty all over the world. Bee Gees - This Is Where I Came In 2001. The first and only song to be released from this album must in my humble opinion beg the question What were they thinking I can remember a fateful move of the Bee Gees in the early 80's when the first song release from the album Living Eyes called He's a Liar came out and was good enough to steer their career and album sales downwards to new lows why the song was let go in my opinion is baffalling to say the least. This is more like the classic Bee Gees of the late 60's and early 70's, rather than the later falsettodisco Bee Gees. i like it. Best-selling in CDs. Though it is widely believed that the Bee Gees first got their name from being the Brothers Gibb, this meaning did not come until a few years after their founding. When the brothers moved to Australia in 1958, they began playing on the radio with friends Bill Goode and Bill Gates. The groups name was originally The BGs contrived from the common initials between Barry Gibb, Bill Goode, and Bill Gates. The name then evolved from The BGs to the Bee Gees which eventually came to mean the Brothers Gibb Other News
