melody of you
"Awakening The Soul", as featured on the Positiva Ambient Collection, is one of Hannant's best tracks and a big personal favourite for over 20 years now (crikey). A inspired and ingenious piece of braindance, this track combines eerie, abstract bleeps and warm, dreamlike synth pads to dazzling effect, and it still sounds like it was beamed down from the future.

"Psi-Onyx", on the other hand, is a decent industrial-tainted affair which reminds me of the stuff that Andrew Lagowski used to put out around the same time on labels like Chromium Industries. (GPR later released a remix double-pack, which included a mighty fine version by Autechre). The dark orchestral tracks on side B have aged less gracefully.
