The first single off of Beatless' Life Mirrors LP, The Truth goes some way to indicate a band resting on their Afro-Latin laurels. Alex Attias Mustang, Plutonia, Catalyst and Paul Martin Interfearence create three varying tempos of the same cut, from repressed and trembling to temple-drum libration and up to sad New Orleans funk, but even if it's a slight remove from their more jazz and drum'n'bass New Latinaires work, in actuality it's just as stagy. A four-disc anthology of songs by John Lennon, Gimme Some Truth was issued as part of the 2010 set of digitally remastered recordings that were released to mark the 70th anniversary of his birth. Each of the discs ordered Lennons work thematically into different aspects of his life.
