I don't get this at all... Where is the Original Mix? And what band did it first and which version is Barraka's original one?

And to add to what  dgauss84 copied from the Lost Language website. The original mix of this particular version is this one: https://www.discogs.com/Vengeance-Song-To-The-Siren/release/52905 It's by the same producers. Why they changed the moniker for this release? I have no idea.

"It's 1983 and Ivo Watts-Russell, label-head of South London's left-leaning independent 4AD imprint decides to indulge his musical whims with a collaborative project called This Mortal Coil. The group (an ever-changing pick n' mix of various recording artists Ivo was into at the time) released a cover version of Tim Buckley's haunting 'Song To The Siren' as their first single and it's this track that Barraka have classily updated for Lost Language. Barraka are producer types Nick Hales and Gez Dewar who will be remembered as the creative force behind Doi-Oing and Heliotropic, though the Barraka combo is bolstered by the rather talented Clare Pearce who provides the mesmerising vocals on 'Song To The Siren'.There are four mixes over two twelves of 'Song To The Siren' with Jean-Phillipe Aviance's Dirty South remix heading up the A side of disc 1 treading the fine line between progressive and tribal while Filterheadz conjure up a controlled blaze of quality vocal progressive with their truly moving mix on the b side. Disc two sees Jean-Phillipe return with his rather special dub and Canadian progressive trance genius, Max Graham does great things to finish off the already heavy package."CREDITS(p) Tirade Records Ltd. 2002 (c) Lost Language 2002

The J.P. Dirty South mix has alot of similar sounds to Creamer & K's mix of Nat Monday "Waiting". Has anyone figured that out yet ? The question is who did it first. Upon looking they were both released in 2002.

It may have been Creamer & K who did it first since there's a Distinct'ive release from the previous year that features that remix: https://www.discogs.com/Nat-Monday-Waiting/release/3358036But honestly, I prefer Jean-Phillipe's take best.
