Andy Stott's first release in three years is out tomorrow, November 8th. Coming out via Modern Love, It Should Be Us will be available digitally and as a double-pack vinyl. With nine tracks recorded this summer, it's the third EP in a series dating back to 2011, when Stott released the Passed Me By and We Stay Together EPs. Next year, Stott will release a new album, though details are still TBA. His last release was 2016's Too Many Voices LP, his fourth full-length overall. Listen to Versi. Andy Stott is a Manchester-based producer of dub and techno music who has released five albums with the Modern Love label. His debut album was Merciless in 2006, and was followed by Unknown Exception 2008 and Luxury Problems in 2012. Passed Me By 2011 marked a significant change in Stott's sound it has none of the elements of his previous dub techno release, opting for a much more bass-heavy sound a la Sunn O and Demdike Stare. Nervous is a short, woozy trawl through half-speed house that employs a square bass line that renders the listener legless - groggy minimal anyone She's Gone Wrong pins down a classic SähköSleeparchive minimal template before setting about to fuck with it good and proper.
